About
 I was born in Kaunas, Lithuania. I studied at Vilnius Academy of Arts, graduating in 1983 with a Diploma in Graphic Art and Art Teaching. Following graduation, I completed a two-year postgraduate course in Lithography and Etching at Senege in Russia. I have been a member of the Lithuanian Artists Union since 1990 and in 1999 I was awarded the status of Teaching Expert by the Lithuanian Department of Education. For the last seven years, I have been living and working in London. I have been a member of East London Printmakers since 2008, where I have undertaken some of my more recent work. I have exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and America. My work can be found in the collections of a number of National Museums in Lithuania, as well as private collections in Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Denmark and America. In producing my works I like to use a combination of techniques, including etching, monoprint and linocut. I am constantly balancing and battling between the minimalistic and the complex: between the silhouette drawn by a single line and the surface dressed with strokes; between space and plane, between the large scale and the minature.
